2026 WOTY Surrender

By November I am usually like, "Did I even have a word of the year?? What was it?" *cue me wandering lost in the forest of my mind*

For 2026 word in retrospect, I'm going to go with surrender. I sort of got swept downriver this year with my health crisis in March, quitting my job, being very, very sick through the spring and summer, amd just now in the fall dinding the shore again and lifting my head up to ask, "Where am I?"

I couldn't fit surrender in the sand so I wrote sunder, also apt.
